10.00 (excellent) this anime is awesome! While I was watching, I had thoughts like "the story should end up right here to create a dramatic effect", and it did!

8.25 (good) picture is great, story is a little bit long and boring because all the demon-fighting in the latter part of it.
I would like to emphasize the characterization. I think it's the shining point of the anime.

My favourite character is Kikyo. Her emotional conflicts shaped her to be the only tragic figure. Her love with Inuyasha once had abandoned her goal to be a Miko, she was willing to give up her magic power then marry Inuyasha. Needless to say, this is a great sacrifice for a Miko. The anime had a very sensitive approach to this : remember Inuyasha gave his mother's lip rough to Kikyo? Kikyo dressed herself up in front of the mirror and saw how beautiful she looked. In the same time she determined to love inuyasha for rest of her life. This strong feeling in a way became a possessive desire, which is also her weak point. She struggled between love and hate, revenge and desperation. She died, but she was beautiful.

Not only Kikyo, but also Kagome and Sango also have different kinds of conlifcts. Kagome was jeaulous when she saw Inuyasha and Kikyo were together. Sango was upset when she saw her brother did cruel and heartless things. What i want to point out is that it is the conflict between heart and mind perfected the character, and bring the flowing emotions into full play.

8.00 (good) Pictures: the drawing style is lucid and clear, details and backgrounds are acceptable.

Character Portrayal: impressive, but can be improved by exaggration. The central traits of a character is fully displayed, but to some extent the portrayal lacks direct action or mental activity.

Story and Plot: the setting of the story is good, but too many coincidences in this anime may result in boredom and lacking of interest. Of course, without the coincidences the story is less interesting, i said this because i think a good anime need to develope its plot more smoothly and naturally, instead of piling and patching up.

7.00 (above average) Characterization is good. The storyline is acceptable, what unpleasant is that the end comes in a sudden.
The music is great, although the music recording may not being performed by world class performers, they still worth listening to.
Some depictions on music are great, the erotic conductor taught Nodame to 'not only catch the emotion of yours , but should also listen to what the the composers want to say'
